The first of two days of rain will begin to fall Friday as rain chances improve and there is a chance of scattered thunderstorms. A chance of scattered thunderstorms, rain and lightning may be possible Friday night through Sunday.

The danger of flash floods is greater in some of the lower and upper mountains. The risk of severe thunderstorms and flash flooding is highest in western areas like the Michigan, Grand Traverse, Mackinac and Lake Michigan, according to the National Weather Service website. The same is true for the eastern region including the northern parts of the Upper Peninsula including Grand Haven, Michigan and Eastern Michigan.
A total of three people in Michigan have been reported missing. An investigation is ongoing.
